At a time when most people escape the cold and seek warmth, the heat of the Caribbean is perfect for the seasons of Autumn and Winter . As well as the warm weather, there are various festivals and celebrations in Cancun and Riviera Maya you will not want to miss out on . As we mention a few of them to you in this post; be sure to write them down.
Life and Death Festival of Xcaret
One of the most exquisite, in every sense, of the Mexican traditions, is the Day of the Dead. Enjoying this tradition in a place full of mysticism, steeped in culture, in a magic atmosphere full of entertainment and art, is the best. The Festival of Life and Death takes place over four days at Xcaret Park . Guests can choose from musical performances, theater , the telling of legends, comical scenes, and concerts representative of Mexico.
This is more than a jazz festival. Held every November since 2002 at Mamitas Beach in Playa del Carmen, the sand is the auditorium and the sea is just a part of the scenery. The music is preformed right on the beach and lasts for three days. Several bands and musicians have previously performed and offered totally free concerts. Spyro Gyra, Sergio Mendez, Aguamala, Eugenia Leon, Victor Wotten, Earth, Wind and Fire, Tower of Power, George Benson, and Gino Vanelli among others. Sit comfortably on the beach with your favorite drink, picnic-style, and enjoy the music in good company .
