This mall isn’t very large, but you can get to it fairly quickly, and it has recommended restaurants such as: Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Cenaccolo. If you are looking for authentic Mexican souvenirs to take home, go to Market 28. Located in downtown Cancun, it’s easily accessed by public transportation. Take Route Hotel Zone 2; The bus will say ” R2 Mercado 28.” This well-known market is very similar to a farmers’ market with many carts you are sure to like . You’ll find lots of crafts.
Plaza La Isla
Known to most people as “La Isla,” this is one of the largest shopping malls in Cancun, perfect to spend an afternoon at. You’ll find it in the Hotel Zone at Km. 12.5. Here you can eat everything, from something simple like burgers, to exotic dinners overlooking the Nichupte Lagoon including: Thai Lounge and Elephanta. With a view overlooking the plaza, you can dine at: La Madonna and Italianni’s. Beautiful sunsets add the perfect setting. Here you will find brand clothing stores like Coach, Lacoste, Express, Gucci, Calvin Klein, Diesel, MAC, and Armani, among others. There is also a dock where you can sometimes see a crocodile swimming in the lagoon.
Plaza Malecon Americas
Plaza Malecon Americas is the most popular mall in Cancun, located near the entrance to the Hotel Zone between Avenida Bonampak and Avenida Tulum. It has two floors and is quite large, so you most likely will not see all of it in one afternoon. You can find a food court, VIP movie theater, as well as a regular one, several department stores, and boutiques such as Sears, Liverpool, MAC, and Zara, as well as well-known restaurants in Cancun known for their delicious dishes such as La Pasteleteria, Waffle House, and many more.
